Lee Shavel

Lee M. Shavel

President and Chief Executive Officer

Lee M. Shavel is Verisk’s president and chief executive officer (CEO), driving long-term sustainable value for shareholders, customers, and employees. He brings over 30 years of experience advising and leading publicly traded companies to Verisk—determining strategies and policies, overseeing financial performance, and furthering company culture.

Lee joined Verisk in 2017 as chief financial officer (CFO). As CFO, he modernized Verisk’s corporate financial operations, including treasury, investor relations, and procurement, and grew the company’s relationships with debt and equity investment communities, including buy-side institutional investors and sell-side research analysts. He implemented an enhanced capital discipline process for internal and external capital deployment, extending that philosophy to the company’s operating focus as CEO.

Before joining Verisk, Lee was Nasdaq, Inc.’s executive vice president and chief financial officer from 2011 to 2016. From 1993 to 2011, he served as managing director, Americas head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking, and other roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Lee holds a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in economics from the Wharton School.

As CEO of Verisk, Lee’s been elected to the company’s board of directors and is on the executive committee. He also serves on the board of directors of FactSet Research Systems and chairs its audit committee. He previously served as a director and chair of the audit committee of Investment Technology Group and served on the board of NJ SEEDS, an educational nonprofit

Saurabh Khemka

Saurabh Khemka

President, Underwriting Solutions

Saurabh Khemka is president of Underwriting Solutions at Verisk, where he leads the Core Lines, Global Underwriting Data and Analytics Solutions, Global Life Solutions, and Verisk Marketing Solutions businesses. In this role, he focuses on delivering innovative data, analytics, and technology capabilities that help insurers build, modernize and optimizeinsurance programs and underwriting processes worldwide.

Since joining Verisk in 2013, Saurabh has held several leadership positions and spearheaded customer-driven innovation initiatives, including Life Solutions FAST platform enhancements, and the introduction of AI-powered capabilities across underwriting workflows.

Previously, Saurabh served as co-president of Underwriting Solutions. Prior to that, as president of Core Lines Services, he was the principal architect and driving force behind the Core Lines Reimagine initiative—a multi-year initiative to modernize core insurance services including forms, rules and loss costs.

He also led Verisk’s Internet of Things (IoT) Solutions division, where he helped grow the Verisk Data Exchangeinto a leading platform for usage-based insurance.

Before joining Verisk, Saurabh was a principal at Bain & Company, advising clients in private equity, technology, and consumer sectors. He holds dual MS degrees in electrical engineering and computer science and engineering systems from MIT, and a BS in mathematics/computer science from Concord University.

Rob Newbold

Rob Newbold

President, Catastrophe and Risk Solutions

Rob Newbold is president of Catastrophe and Risk Solutions at Verisk. He’s responsible for setting global strategy and overseeing worldwide operations for the business, including Verisk Maplecroft.

Rob has extensive experience working with insurance industry leaders globally to better understand how they manage risk and identify ways to use analytics to improve catastrophe risk management.

Since joining Verisk in 2002 as a risk consultant, he’s held several roles of increasing responsibility and has been integral to the business’s growth during his tenure. In the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, when the 144A property catastrophe bond market grew steadily, he built and led the team that continues to serve as the global standard for catastrophe bond risk assessment. Prior to his appointment as president, Rob served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Extreme Event Solutions.

Rob holds an MBA and an MS in information systems, both from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management, and a BS in systems engineering from the University of Virginia. He's achieved the designation of Certified Extreme Event Modeler (CEEM) after completing the requirements of the Verisk Certified Extreme Event Modeler Program.

Outside of work, Rob spends his time coaching youth sports in his community and chasing the automatic qualifying time for the Boston Marathon.

Steven Kauderer

Steven Kauderer

President, Claims Solutions

Steven Kauderer is president of Verisk's Claims Solutions business, leading the team in delivering insights and innovative solutions that help insurers and claims ecosystem participants streamline the claims process with greater accuracy, efficiency, and speed. Steven joined Verisk in February 2026, focusing on harnessing data, technology, and global expertise to help clients deliver superior claims experiences and performance.

Steven brings more than 30 years of strategic consulting experience advising leading global insurance carriers and brokers. Most recently, he was a senior partner at EY-Parthenon, where he built and led Enterprise Reimagined, the firm's transformation practice helping financial services organizations drive profitable growth. Previously, Steven was a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, leading the global insurance practice with emphasis on property and casualty and life insurance. His insurance consulting background also includes leadership roles at Bain & Company and Oliver Wyman.

A former underwriter with deep knowledge of the insurance landscape, Steven is a frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences and has written extensively for insurance publications on technology transformation, customer experience, and operational excellence.

He holds a bachelor's degree in American Studies from Vassar College and an MBA from Yale School of Management.

Elizabeth Mann

Elizabeth Mann

Chief Financial Officer

As Verisk’s chief financial officer (CFO), Elizabeth Mann drives the company’s financial strategy and capital management philosophy by focusing on creating long-term value and investing in the highest-return opportunities. She also oversees client strategy, partnering with business leaders to strengthen client engagement, drive retention, and align Verisk's capabilities with client priorities across the insurance ecosystem. She previously served as Interim President of the Claims Solutions business.

Elizabeth joined Verisk from S&P Global, where she was CFO of the Ratings and Mobility divisions, after serving as senior vice president of Capital Management overseeing the Treasury, Tax and Capital Allocation functions. Before that, she held several roles of increasing responsibility at Goldman Sachs, including managing director of the firmwide strategy group and the technology, media, and telecom investment banking group. Her expertise and insights have been published in industry and academic outlets.

Before joining corporate America, Elizabeth was Moore Instructor and National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Elizabeth holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of Oxford; a certificate of advanced study in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Churchill Scholar; and a BS in mathematics from Harvard University.

Elizabeth serves on the Board of Motorola Solutions, Inc, and as the Board President for the Winston Churchill Scholarship Foundation of the United States.

Tim Rayner

Tim Rayner

Chief Executive Officer, General Insurance for UK & Ireland, and Specialty Business Solutions

As Chief Executive Officer, General Insurance for UK & Ireland, and Specialty Business Solutions at Verisk, Tim Rayner drives deliberate, disciplined design and delivery of experiences to clients and team members. He works to increase understanding and create connections between these two groups while advocating for the integration they require, technical or otherwise.

Tim champions clients’ and team members’ perspectives in the company’s strategic decisionmaking and measures the impact of these groups’ experiences on the company’s performance.

He has board-level responsibility for the team’s relationships with Lloyd’s, the Future @ Lloyd’s, and large strategic accounts; Tim is also playing an instrumental part in the team’s global expansion.

Tim became Specialty Business Solutions’ chief executive officer in July 2022, having served as chief experience officer since 2021. He joined the company in 2018 as business development director.

Before joining Verisk, he spent 18 years in technology and operations on the broker side of the London Market at Miller Insurance Services, specializing in the coverholder space and architecting London’s first real-time bordereau data exchange in 2007. He began as a software developer at Miller, before moving on to head up IT, Business Change, Business Transformation & Technology, and Group Operations.

Tim’s articles on how technology can drive efficiencies through distribution chains have been published in London-based insurance publications. His team at Miller won an Insurance Day award in 2008 for real-time delegated authority management.

Tim has completed the Lloyd’s Leadership Programme at the London Business School and is certified as a Forrester CX Champ.

He’s been chairman of the Halstead Swimming Club since 2016.

Ron

Ron Beiderman

Chief Product Officer, Core Lines

Ron Beiderman is the Chief Product Officer for Core Lines at Verisk where he has responsibility for the forms, rules and loss costs product, contributory statistical data and actuarial compliance and pricing.

Since starting his career at Verisk in 1996, Ron has held several leadership positions and drove multiple innovation initiatives, including Mozart Form Composer platform and Verisk’s Emerging Issues initiative.

Previously, Ron served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lines Underwriting where he had P&L and product responsibility for commercial property, small commercial and commercial auto solutions.

Ron’s insurance expertise has been featured in a wide range of business and insurance media, including CNBC.com, Independent Agent, Insurance Journal, and Rough Notes. He has also represented Verisk at numerous industry forums where he has spoken on emerging issues, automation and technology, and insurance trends and developments.

Ron graduated with a bachelor of science degree in political science and communications from Rutgers University and has earned the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Aaron

Aaron Brunko

President, Property Estimating Solutions

Aaron Brunko is President of Property Estimating Solutions at Verisk and leads the full Xactware Solutions Suite, including Xactimate, XactAnalysis, XactContents, XactAI, XactGen, XactXpert and ClaimXperience. With 25 years at Verisk, he has served in roles spanning technical support, quality assurance, product development, sales, training, and implementation. Aaron is client-focused, delivering solutions and workflows that improve estimating accuracy, accelerate claim resolution, and help insurers, contractors, and ecosystem partners operate efficiently. He holds an MBA from the University of Utah and a B.S. from Western Governors University.
